Making comics can be brutal on a human body. Many artists spend up to 12 hours (some spend even more than that) a day sitting in place, making repetitive motions with one hand, and staring at a relatively bright surface while making art (and if you’re working digitally, you’re still sitting just as long in one place, albeit with an even brighter work surface in front of you). It’s not a healthy way to live. Even if you’re one of the few odd ducks who draws while standing (I can’t speak for his current working conditions, but at the very least, back in the 90s and early oughts, Frank Miller did a lot of work while standing), it’s not good for your health to stand more or less in place…

New Projects, Work in Progress
Been busy with a nasty cold...wanted to post here to show a little progress. I usually start out with a rough idea in my head about the traits of the character I have in mind...I may have no name in mind for such a character, I may only have a name in mind for a character, I may have nothing of the kind...it's when I hit the board that I really get going, because I rarely have a preconceived idea of what I want a character to look like. I'm not going to lie...my second favorite part of any book is this part (sketching, brainstorming, etc.). The only thing better is seeing it finished. New Work

New Work Well, that took long enough! After a successful Kickstarter campaign and years of waiting that should not have been there to begin with... my book printed and shipped to it’s respective backers. I’m both proud and frustrated with the final product, but am happy to have it out and the orders fulfilled (if you’re interested, the book is available on Amazon, FWIW). Where to go from here? I’ve been thinking about my next move for a while now; this time, it's going to be all on me (i.e., not "based" on anything in particular).
